About 3SE

Third Sector Enterprises Ltd (3SE) is a company who’s principlal aim is to support the growth and development of the social enterprise sector throughout Greater Manchester, by providing business development support services, encouraging enterprise, supporting the development of sector clusters, engaging public and private sector support and brokering specialist business services.

The company is responsible for the delivery of the Small Business Service (SBS) commitment to social enterprise development across Greater Manchester. It also plays a strategic role in the development of a social enterprise Action Plan for Greater Manchester, along with partners such as the North West Development Agency (NWDA) and AGMA .

3SE is part of the Manchester Enterprises Group – the Economic Agency for Greater Manchester and is a subsidiary company of ChamberLink.

3SE is a not-for-profit organisation with a specific focus on promoting social enterprise in Greater Manchester.

Our aim is to develop a significant, vibrant social enterprise sector that contributes to the wealth and well being of the whole community. Working in partnership with public authorities, regeneration partnerships, local communities, charities, voluntary groups, housing associations and others, our work is divided into three main areas:

increasing knowledge and understanding of the social enterprise sector
providing high quality enterprise development and support services
acting as a catalyst for the transfer of best practice and knowledge
