3SE Services for early trading social enterprises

The very early stages of trading are often the most testing of times for any social enterprise – a time to put the business plan into practice and take the very first steps towards becoming a sustainable business.

3SE’s ‘early trading’ service is aimed at newly established organisations coming out of the New Start programme and enterprises within their first year of trading . We offer a mix of support, diagnosis and training to assist organisations to work through this critical phase in their development

  • support – access to regular progress reviews with an expert business adviser to focus on any pertinent business requirement, whether it be finalising the incorporation process, reviewing the business plan, discussing Board development or even support to find suitable premises or incubated accommodation .
  • business diagnosis – the opportunity to undertake a formal diagnosis of the business which will highlight areas for improvement, ways in which to increase capacity and help to inform the following year’s business plan
  • training – support to develop new skills through a range of training modules in areas such as finance, and marketing as well as providing access to a full range of online learning packages and events and seminars
